Company Overview
The Menta Group® (a not-for-profit organization) began with one student, one teacher and two clinicians. From the organization’s beginning, there has been a strong emphasis on meeting the educational, social and emotional needs of young people who have severe behavioral and emotional handicaps. This emphasis has led to the development of a “no-refusal, no expulsion” policy.
The people of The Menta Group® believe that the best place for children and adolescents is in stable home and school environments. Resources are actively used to ensure that this is available to even the most challenging young person. We employ a truly dedicated team of professionals who work hard each day to meet these goals in support of our Mission and Vision, and to uphold our stated Core Values. Mission Statement The Menta Group is a multi-faceted organization dedicated to providing innovative solutions to critical problems in education and human services. Vision We envision a society in which all youth can be successful. As an organization, we are especially committed to making success a reality for high-risk youth. Our mandate is to be the recognized national leader in serving high-risk youth in educational and social service settings, by providing empirically based innovative solutions to critical problems in education and human services. We strive to positively impact high-risk youth and the professionals who work with them by focusing on program development, professional training, and child advocacy. Core Values • We grow potential – Together, we are committed to supporting our students, clients, and employees in making the most of their talents and skills. • We support lifelong learning – As a knowledge organization, we encourage the development of individual and group knowledge. We champion those who strive to learn throughout their lifetime. • We do not give up – We are devoted to providing high quality services to youth and families in the most difficult of situations. Our goal is to remain strength-based and result focused. Problems are understood as challenges to be mastered. • We value data-driven innovation – We actively evaluate our services through quantifiable statistics and the recommendations of our internal and external stakeholders. With this orientation, we work to identify challenges, generate solutions, implement change strategies, and evaluate each strategy’s effectiveness. • We expect courage, compassion, leadership, and an outstanding work ethic – We support each other in the ongoing development of these personal qualities. • We eliminate barriers to success – A “barrier” is anything that keeps people apart, generates suspiciousness, closes out new ideas, or slows progress. We strive to create a “barrier-less” culture that fosters open communication and a spirit of collaboration. |
