Role:

  • The Associate Director Zone Technical Logistics, Project Execution is a strategic role that owns the productivity pipeline, capital expenditure plans, and ESG initiatives for North America Logistics. This role leads a team of project managers, and analysts to explore and recommend initiatives and drive the execution within both the warehousing and transportation space. This role partners closing with the Logistics Operations function to ensure that the largest gaps and opportunities are identified and addressed in a priority order to drive efficiency. This role will play a key role in driving Kraft Heinz into the future and staying competitive with KHC's supply chain. This role will require building relationships and influencing both internal stakeholders and external vendors as well as coaching and developing your team to deliver the business results.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the KHC North America Productivity Pipeline, ideation through execution for warehousing and transportation.

  • Lead process for cross functional collaboration to develop 2-to-3-year pipeline of ideas including process improvements, best practice sharing, technologies, automation, etc. to drive efficiency.

  • Own productivity reporting with finance partnership.

  • Bring recommendations of new tools/technologies to solve our current business problems/opportunities and the business case to justify. Including leading strategic project to install technology and infrastructure to automate and streamline carrier interactions with warehouse including gate, pre-arrival, and onsite coordination.

  • Own LMS and YMS technology strategies and solution optimization

  • Build the Capital Expenditure Strategic plan for the North America network to ensure the correct maintenance, cost improvement projects are budgeted and accounted for on an annual basis.

  • Ensure proper execution of Capital Expenditure plan and review and align with stakeholders' capital approval requests for warehouse package.

  • Develop Material Handling Equipment strategy for total North America network.

  • Manage Capital Asset strategies for entire North America warehouse network and ensure proper projects to avoid business interruption for ~1B of assets.

  • Coach and develop team of project managers to effectively execute and prioritize projects to deliver optimal results and efficiencies.

  • Lead coordination between digital team and warehousing/trans team to ensure all digital/IT projects are aligned and meet timelines.

  • Own automation workstream from ideation, alignment to execution. Automation within the 4 walls of our warehouses.

  • Lead the ESG/Net Zero roadmap and tying projects to overall KHC ESG goals.

  • Provide consultation and support in operational issues through resolution.

  • Partner closely with Logistics Operations team to ensure alignment of priorities based on operational gaps and opportunity areas.

  • Develop relationship with manufacturing to bring best practices between manufacturing and logistics to enable KHC to capitalize on scale where applicable.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree; Engineering or Logistics/Supply Degree strongly preferred.

  • 7-10 years business experience is required; preferably in a Logistics/Supply Chain or Supply Chain Consulting capacity

  • Experience within the warehouse highly recommended

  • Prior experience in analyzing financial, supply chain related data and optimization modelling

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint), BI, Tableau
