Reporting to the Global Chief Accounting Officer (CAO), the Manager of Accounting Policies and Procedures will serve as a key subject matter expert on accounting policies, new accounting pronouncements and associated procedures. They will work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to ensure proper accounting treatments are utilized and a proper control environment. This position will also work with the Head of Technical Accounting and External Reporting to assist with the preparation and review of the external facing reports, including the quarterly earnings release and quarterly and annual financial statements for CNH.

This role is eligible for our hybrid work model, working three days on-site in our offices in Oak Brook, IL and two days remote/home office.

Responsibilities
    Monitors U.S. GAAP and SEC developments and leads the adoption of new accounting and disclosure requirements.
  • Prepare summaries and project plans related to the implementation of new accounting standards.
  • Researches and prepares technical accounting memos to support the resolution of accounting issues and proper handling of new transactions.
  • Ensures company compliance with financial accounting and reporting standards.
  • Develop and maintain companywide accounting policies in accordance with IFRS and U.S. GAAP requirements.
  • Provides formal and informal U.S. GAAP and accounting policy training to the global Finance function.
  • Provides technical accounting expertise for other complex areas including revenue recognition, leasing, intangible assets, inventory, restructuring, stock-based compensation, benefits etc.
  • Maintains SOX compliance over the financial reporting function.
  • Participate in the preparation of CNH financial statements and footnotes under U.S. GAAP including Annual Report on Form 10-K, Quarterly Reports and registration statements while coordinating closely with the IFRS external reporting team.
  • Participate in the preparation of the financial Press Release process providing input and liaison with senior management, Investor Relations, Communications, Legal and external auditors.
  • Works with the external auditors to address accounting and reporting issues.
  • Prepares various presentations for the Board of Directors and Audit Committee as required.

The annual salary for this role is $133,125 - $195,250 (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

Qualifications

The qualified candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • CPA license
  • 8+ plus years professional work experience including a technical accounting role in a Big 4 accounting firm servicing large, public or private international manufacturing Companies resulting in comprehensive knowledge of the financial reporting process, U.S. GAAP technical accounting, SEC compliance and financial systems.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills (oral and written) to effectively collaborate with all levels of internal management throughout CNH, as well as, external auditors, attorneys, underwriters).
  • Proficient in writing technical memos.
  • Experience and success working in a team environment, initiative to organize workload, set priorities and ability to adapt to changing situations.
