City Experiences is seeking an Accounting Analyst for our Business Operations.

The Accounting Analyst assists multiple accounting functions for the City Cruises US division, helps to ensure strong cash controls through reconciling balance sheet accounts, build and execute AR processes, assist with Accounts payable processes, and own some month-end close responsibilities. This is a project-focused role that will have some recurring monthly responsibilities.

A successful analyst will be able to reconcile large data sets and understand variances, quickly learn and execute transactional tasks in multiple systems, and be adaptable to working with GL, Operational, and AP accounting.

The Accounting Analyst will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody Hornblower's RESPECT SERVICE SYSTEM.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Document financial transactions and record entries in ledgers
  • Ensure cash, AR and deferred revenue reconciliations are completed timely and accurately
  • Research transactions and determine appropriate accounting treatment
  • Track project progress and communicate progress and roadblocks timely
  • Assist manager with ad hoc job requests and analysis as needed
  • Additional job duties as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Candidate should have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal direction
  • Work in an organized manner with high attention to detail
  • Consistently meets tight deadlines
  • Communicate effectively in oral and written form
  • Manage multiple priorities/tasks
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Comfortable working with large data sets in Excel
  • Experience with Great Plains is a plus
