Overview

The Manager, Commercial Insights and Analytics is a key leader to drive Breakthru's data-driven insights to support key supplier partner(s), with commodity focus in either Tequila or Whiskey. They are an expert in Breakthru's data and syndicated data sources, with the skills to train and develop other analysts and sales leaders. They will uncover insights for key suppliers, customers, and sales leadership through predictive and prescriptive analytics. They will develop best practices to drive business growth. Provides analytical support, sales insights, and helps drive category, channel, and market-based solutions across BBG markets. Supports implementation of analytics strategy within markets.

This role can be located in any BBG-Diageo market.

Responsibilities
    Leads workstreams to identify drivers across industry & consumer trends, BBG growth opportunities, competitive intelligence, and economic indicators.
    • Serve as subject matter expert to the corporate team on commodity and/or channel (spirits/wine/beer/craft, National Accounts, etc.) and support overall ad-hoc ELT/Sales requests.
    • Provides thoughtful leadership to the BI team to ensure all BI initiatives (including data governance and standardized reporting) are met in order to help drive analytics and insights across BBG in a centralized manner.
  • Deliver supplier and customer-based insights from a mixture of internal data, syndicated data, and other industry relevant info to deliver recommendations and actionable solutions.
    • Effectively communicates to key stakeholders, suppliers, and customer-based insights, recommendations and solutions using internal and syndicated data industry relevant info, along with and other industry relevant info.
    • Support syndicated data/external data strategy.
    • Assist in building Corp & local analytic infrastructure and provide oversight of local analytical capabilities. Supports the training and coaching of state analytic resources.
  • Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder's supervisor, may also be required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in beverage alcohol and/or CPG industry
  • Advanced PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software
  • Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
  • Analytic and Reporting skills
  • Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using Syndicated data (i.e. Nielsen, IRI)
  • MBA and/or finance background
  • Experience driving analytical tasks/projects with a proven track record at an enterprise level

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone
