BANK RECONCILIATION ANALYST
POSITION SUMMARY:
The BPO Bank Reconciliation Analyst is responsible for weekly and monthly reconciliations of financial accounts. Applicants should possess strong analytical skills in order to independently navigate and reconcile financial data across different systems. The position requires daily interaction with internal team members across various departments and a curious problem-solving mindset.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Responsible for assisting in the end-to-end bank reconciliation process
  • Performs bank account reconciliations and analysis using Microsoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft Access, Excel and other tools as required
  • Recommends and communicates additional process improvement controls as identified
  • Identifies and effectively communicates errors to appropriate departments (AR/AP, Stoploss, Finance, etc)
  • Assists with implementing improvement action plans as needed
  • Follows through to ensure errors are corrected in a timely fashion
  • Reviews daily financial transactions for accuracy
  • Reviews refund deposits for accuracy and request transfers
  • Posting temporary financial transactions in accounting system pending resolution
  • Providing soft-copy documentation each reconciliation period to ensure and maintain accuracy
  • Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience required
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
  • 2-3 years' experience in a banking, finance or accounting role
  • Experience using full Microsoft Office suite required
  • Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Microsoft Access experience a plus
  • Microsoft Dynamic Great Plains experience a plus
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to retain and understand concepts presented via verbal and written communication
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong focus on process improvement

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This is a standard desk role - long periods of sitting and working on a computer are required.
